Our Next Meeting
Breakfast and a Workshop Skills-Based Volunteering Thursday, November 6, 2008 8:30 - 10:30 am
Skills-based volunteering can be described as volunteer work that is performed for the benefit of a non-profit organization or cause that uses technical or professional skills. Please join us for a program presented by Genworth Financial, winner of the 2008 Excellence in Workplace Volunteer Programs presented by the Points of Light Institute, as they share details on its skills-based volunteer program. The company has incorporated the program into its talent management process, so not only do the skills-based projects benefit the community but they also benefit employees.
